Climb the nicest peaks of the Bernina range or of the mountains around Valposchiavo. The mountaineering school Pontresina offers a varied program and takes care of the individual needs of the guests also with private tours. Our mountains attract people in summer and in winter and are suited for unforgettable tours.

Enthusiasts of this sport amuse themselves at the climbing garden of Cavaglia with degrees of difficulty between 4 and 7. It is located at Puntalta, not far from the glacial garden. There is a second small climbing garden at the nature reserve of Val da Camp, behind the SAC-hut Saoseo at Lungacqua.

This summer excursion across the glacier is probably the most famous tour in the area of Diavolezza. And it's true: It's a real ice and snow paradise! On the adventurous and at the same time informative excursion over the Pers and Morteratsch glacier your professional mountain guide of the mountaineering school Pontresina will tell you all about the history of the glaciers and about the climate change.

Classic routes over glaciers and summit ridges guarantee impressive experiences with fellowmen. High mountain routes require a good fitness and mountain experience. For these kinds of tours it's absolutely compulsory to be able to walk safely with crampons. For participants without any experience it is compulsory to attend an ice course.

From the political and geographical point of view Diavolezza does not belong to Valposchiavo, but emotionally this cable car belongs to the people of Poschiavo. The region of Bernina is the perfect high altitude mountain area from different points of view. Diavolezza counts as the ideal leisure time area for the enthusiasts of mountains and nature, in winter time as a ski area and in summer as a hiking paradise.
